wow, this comment slipped under the radar! My apologies for taking 6 months or more to note it! The mud in the pictures is indeed real as in a real photograph, the rendered characters are brought into the actual photos and edited to 'blend in'
I don't While I have done scenes entirely in Poser/DAZ Studio and Carrera, they all lack 'realism' with the materials in question (mud, swamp,quicksand etc.). I've taken to rendering the characters from different angles and applying them as wanted within the confines of Photoshop
